THE 311 hectare (768 acre) Millmerran district farming property Evans has sold at a Nutrien Harcourts GDL auction for a standout $1.7 million.
The sale price is equal to about $5466/ha ($2214/acre).
Marketing agent Mitch Gillece said three of the four registered parties were active at the auction. Bidding opened from the floor at $1m, he said.
Evans is described as a prime parcel of brigalow country in nine freehold titles, located at Bringalily, 25km north of Millmerran.
More than 80 per cent of the gently undulating property had been cultivated, which has been farmed organically for more than 50 years.
There is also about 48ha of grazing country.
Improvements include a 20x18m grain/machinery shed centrally located on the property.
The marketing of Evans was handled by Mitch Gillece, Nutrien Harcourts GDL.
