Crew on board a new Antarctic research vessel are sure to be well fed and watered with a smorgasbord of northern Tasmanian products set to stock the ship's galley.
The new Antarctic research vessel, RSV Nuyina, left the Netherlands on September 1, embarking on its 24,000-kilometre journey to Tasmania.
When it arrives into Hobart in late October, the ship will be stocked by Tasmanian Shipping Supplies.
The company will be buying TasFoods products such as Betta Milk, Nichols Poultry, Pyengana Dairy cheeses and Shima Wasabi.

TasFoods national account manager Jason Beecroft said tonnage of chicken and thousands of litres of milk would be supplied throughout the Antarctic's upcoming shipping season.
Mr Beecroft said TasFoods would be supplying incoming ships.
"It will include a variety of dairy goods such as basic cheeses, creams, butters, and some high-end cloth-bound artisan cheeses," he said.
"It just depends on what the crews need, and their functions at the time.
"This agreement automatically gives a captive audience to interstate and international maritime workers.
"It highlights the importance of supporting local where possible."
Tasmanian Development Minister Michael Ferguson said the new icebreaker agreement, established by Tasmanian Shipping Supplies, was worth $300 million to Tasmanian businesses.
"Tasmanian suppliers are set to benefit to the tune of about $30 million a year over the next 10 years under a supply arrangement for the new Antarctic research vessel," Mr Ferguson said.
He said the supply of food, along with other services, was part of a great boost to the local economy.
