The popular online marketplace for Australian farmers, agtrader.com.au, has been refurbished.
AgTrader brings together machinery, jobs and property listings in one place. It is now easier to read, navigate and search items for sale thanks to larger images, text and more prominent enquiry fields.
AgTrader commercial lead Will Laycock said the timing was right to modernise the look and feel of agtrader.com.au.
Mr Laycock said while regular updates and improvements had been made to the website over the years, the appearance of AgTrader had not been updated significantly since its launch eight years ago.
"The AgTrader platforms are unique in the agricultural marketplace in that the advertiser gets the maximum exposure through print and digital," he said.
"We recognise farmers and agricultural businesses are busy and wanted to offer a better user experience."
One of the features that sets AgTrader apart from its competitors is the ability to compare items registered at clearing sales with similar products listed individually on the website.
"There's no other platform that integrates items for sale at clearing sales with similar items advertised for sale," Mr Laycock said.
"If you're after a certain make and model of tractor, you can not only find those that are listed for sale but also the tractors that are being offered at the clearing sales that are advertised on the site."
Used machinery dealer Robinsons of Bookham director Selwyn Robinson said the team at AgTrader offer great customer service and he was looking forward to seeing the new design.
"We have been with AgTrader since it began and have always been very happy with the amount of leads it generates each month," Mr Robinson said.
