A new premium iced coffee product described as "unlike any other" hit Wagga's shelves on Monday.
Wagga dairy Riverina Fresh partnered with Melbourne-based coffee roasters ST. ALi to develop a new ready to drink named Really Good Coffee.
The drink, which took more than two years to develop, combines beans roasted in Melbourne with a specifically tailored milk to complement the coffee blend in a chilled, fresh format.
Riverina Fresh chief executive officer Rob Collier believes the drink will live up to its name.
"It is really different and we think It's a great result," he said.
"There's not many in the market that's just fresh milk and coffee.
"We were seeking to replicate the taste of the iced coffee you buy in a cafe with a fresh shot of coffee and we think that's what we've achieved.
"We think it's the best iced coffee but the proof will be in the pudding."
Mr Collier said the range had recently been launched in Woolworths stores, now the local dairy is launching on Monday in local independent retailers, cafes, service stations, bakeries, corner stores and hospitality venues.
He said the new drink would be available as an "original" and a no added sugar version, which is also lactose-free, throughout 60 outlets in the Riverina.
"There are few ingredients in it and we put a tiny amount of Panela (unrefined whole cane sugar) in it which is a slightly different taste," Mr Collier said.
"There are no syrups, additives or artificial sweeteners in it.
"The taste will appeal to normal iced coffee drinkers and really appeal to those who buy iced coffees in cafes.
"The Riverina is a brilliant food bowl for agriculture and it's nice that Riverina Fresh is part of proving that locally."
To celebrate the launch, Riverina Fresh is conducting two competitions until the end of October.
Online, five vintage coolers packed with Really Good Coffee will be given away and local radio stations will be giving people the chance to win two boxes containing 10 cartons of Really Good Coffee for their workplace.
Check the Riverina Fresh Facebook page for details on how to win in their like/share/win competition and listen to Triple M 1152 (Wagga), HIT 104.9 (Albury) or Triple M 963 (Griffith) to hear competition announcements.
