People over profits is the philosophy of Circular Head Farms' Stephen Fisher.
His business oversees 11 dairy farms. Mr Fisher said his style of leadership was having people as a priority.
"How do we create opportunity for people and empower them?" Mr Fisher said.
He said if they apply good people management principals, he was able to retain staff and attract good people.
"It's worked for us."

Mr Fisher said Circular Head Farms had been able to retain share farmers across seven years.
He said it was about building culture.
"The knowledge is there, people know it, we just need to apply it.
"The key's being exposed to new ideas, it's always a healthy thing."
Mr Fisher said he was a little older when he came into the industry, but that he and his wife had come in to grow the business.
"We came into do business, not just to milk cows. We came in to grow."
Mr Fisher is one of the speakers for the Dairy Masterclass unit leadership, people and culture.
The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture offers a masterclass in dairy farm management.
Dairy Australia Learning and Development Partners lead April Browne said the masterclass was an exciting development for the industry.
"And will ensure current and future dairy managers around the country have the knowledge and skills to maximise farm performance and lead successful teams," Ms Browne said.
The training has been developed between the University of Tasmania and Dairy Australia.
It will be hosting an information session for the online course for employers and students on October 26.
