Farmers feeding small herds of cattle or sheep might find the new Strautmann mixer is just what they are looking for.
The 7m3 capacity Verti-Mix 70 is a new addition to the German designed and built Strautmann's range, which has been available in Australia for more than 30 years.
Strautmann feed mixers now range from 7m3 to 45m3 capacity in single, twin and triple auger configurations.
The Verti-Mix 70 Vario2 stepped auger delivers fast mixing with optimal feed structure, which saves both time and money while improving nutrition, weight gain and fertility.
The Verti-Mix 70 has a low PTO requirement of 34 kilowatts (45 horsepower), ideal for smaller herd managers.

Inlon's Strautmann product manager Shane Ryan said the feed mixer is designed for trough or ground feeding.
"It is ideal for backgrounding as grain can be introduced to the feed more quickly to promote weight gain," Mr Ryan said.
"This compact feed mixer will suit stud breeders, sheep and goat farms, plus smaller farms that want to supplement feed when paddock feed is in short supply."
The Verti-Mix 70 has a 6mm wall thickness and 15mm steel floor for longer life.
A robust gearbox ensures durability through a large-sized pair of tapered roller bearings, double sealing, a large grease chamber, and oil bath for the planetary reductions, extending the maintenance intervals.
Electronic weigh scales, a drawbar stand for parking, adjustable counter knives and an additional scraper are other features of the Verti-Mix 70 feed mixer.
