Attendees to the Dalby Showgrounds on Friday were greeted with clear skies and humidity as the Dalby Australian Stock Horse campdraft and challenge events got underway.
The threat of flooding earlier in the week quickly evaporated with cashed up buyers nabbing a seat around the complex to cast their eye over the upcoming sale horses.
Some 293 lots were nominated for the two-day sale event, which commences at 3pm on Saturday, but withdrawals are expected due to travel restrictions from the statewide rainfall event.
Wet weather did reduce the outdoor campdraft schedule with the open, rising star, aged/gelding and challenge along with some pre-work reshuffled into Friday.
