Unprecedented demand for used machinery has led auctioneering company Ritchie Bros to expand its yards at Dubbo, NSW, for the second time.
Ritchie Bros sales director Finlay Massey said Dubbo has been an integral piece of the puzzle in the company's national yard strategy.
He said the company opened its 6500 square metre Dubbo facility in February 2021.
"In June, the site grew to 12,000 square metres, and now the site has grown again to triple its original size," Mr Massey said.
"We now have 18,000 square metres available to accommodate rising demand in the region."

Territory sales manager Stephen Martin said they were seeing more and more sellers from the area tap into Ritchie Bros' national sales.
"Large consignors like Stockmaster, Cole for Cranes, Dubbo Booms & Scissor Lifts, and Robert Holmes Transport embraced the new yard this year and achieved record-breaking returns for their equipment and trucks," Mr Martin said.
"In our February auction we had only 55 lots in our Dubbo yard, since then we have had 825 lots pass through our Dubbo yard to go to unreserved auction."
According to Stuart Cole, Cole for Cranes, he was eager to proceed with Ritchie Bros as their reputation for attracting buyers was unrivalled.
Mr Cole said having the new yard located only minutes from Cole for Cranes helped bring down transportation costs and efficiently put their equipment on the global market.
"The majority of the assets sold for amounts that exceeded our expectations and the convenience of dealing with Ritchie Bros made the process easy and stress-free. We were really happy with the result," he said.
