CRACKED OPEN: Emergency Management Minister Bridget McKenzie said the floods were the type of disaster the fund was set up for and the full $150m annual allocation would be used.

THE federal government has finally cracked open its $4.8-billion Emergency Response Fund after months of pressure, providing $150 million to support flood-affected communities.
