HIGHVELD Australian White rams reached an impressive $6600 at the stud's spring on-property ram sale at Mendooran today.
Seventy rams from 90 offered were sold, averaging $2034.
The first lot in the sale attracted all the attention, with several Australian White studs vying for the 86-kilogram sire.
The 11-month-old, twin-born ram had a Myomax Gold (double Myomax gene carrier) status, which attracted eventual buyers Graham and Vivienne Lander, Landara Australian White stud, Wattle Flat, South Australia.
Twenty-nine ewes were also offered, with 28 selling for an average of $1543.
The top priced ewe was bought by Dave and Tyler Stewart, Regal Australian White stud, Inverell, who were also attracted by the Myomax Gold status of the ewe.

The sale was conducted by Landmark with John Settree, Dubbo calling the bids.
