TWO 16 month-old bulls topped the 25th annual Noonee Angus stud sale at $6500 each at Larras Lee on Wednesday, September 9.
In total 26 bulls 14 to 17 months-old cleared at auction from 43 to average $4019 for stud principal Netta Holmes Lee during the annual production sale at “Claremont”.
Returning clients for nine years John and Heather O’Donnell, “Merriwee”, Condobolin, paid equal top money for one of three purchases averaging $4833.
Their top bull at $6500, Noonee Kennedy K11 (AI), a son of Te Mania Emperor E343, weighed 610 kilograms and would be used to join with heifers in the Merriwee Shorthorn herd.
Stuart Clifford, “Aquila”, Two Mile Flat, paid the other equal top money for a son of the US sire WK Replay weighing 710kg, the heaviest bull in the catalogue.
Ben and Cloe Lawson, “Monte Carlo”, Store Creek, returned to secure two bulls topping at $5000 for Noonee Kakadu K19 (AI), another Emperor son weighing 634kg at 16 months.
First-time buyers in 2012, Robert and Cindy Fitzgerald, “West Nombi”, Mullalley, returned to pay $5500 for the 640kg rising 15 month-old son of Patawalla Matrix E32, Noonee K4076 (APR).
David Nicholas, Nebraska North”, Condombol, returned to secure seven bulls for an average $3143 with two topping at $3500 each.
