Heavy rain across the state has forced Central West and Western NSW councils to close unsealed roads to traffic, in a bid to preserve the condition of the roads.
In the Far West region of NSW, the Cut Line which runs from Tibooburra to Borrona Downs and Borona Downs to Wanaaring is open to four-wheel-drives only.
Coonamble Shire Council general manager Rick Warren advised all unsealed roads within the shire had been closed to traffic.
"At present, all drivers are to proceed with caution on all shire sealed roads as well."
At Cobar, The Grain, Round Hill, Booberoi and Mount Grace roads are open to light traffic only.
All unsealed roads in the Warren district have been also been closed.
In the Central Darling Shire, the Ivanhoe to Menindee road, Menindee to Pooncarie and Menindee to Wilcannia (east side) roads have been closed.
On the Mitchell Highway between Dubbo and Narromine, motorists have been advised to reduce speed and exercise caution due to water across the road approximately 15 kilometres east of Dubbo.
