BIDDING reached a top of $1500 at the annual Waverley Downs Merino ram sale at "Lecoin", Delungra on Saturday.
A mix of new and repeat buyers attended the sale, where 38 of the 50 rams offered were sold for a clearance of 76 per cent and average of $692.
Keith and Ainslie Savage, "Rockvale", Delungra, were the top bidders, purchasing lot one for $1500.
The 22-month-old ram, by Zig Zag, weighed 106.5 kilograms, had a fibre diameter of 18.2-mircon, standard deviation (SD) of 3.28-micron, co-efficent variation (CV) of 18.02pc and comfort factor (CF) of 99.85pc.
