PETER and Julie Button, Ramsay Park, celebrated their stud's 20th anniversary at their on-property sale at Minlaton on September 26.
The stud offered 85 White Suffolk, Suffolk and black composite rams, achieving an 80 per cent clearance.
Mr Button said the stud offered extra White Suffolk rams this year.
"We put extra rams in, because in the past couple of years we have sold everything, and we didn't want any of our clients to miss out," he said.
Mr Button said he was concentrating on breeding for good figures on a good frame. He said there was a growing interest in looking at the sheep's figures in the past few years.
"We're trying to get the balance of figures on a good-framed, well-fleshed sheep, with a good back-end and good loin," he said.
The top-price $2100 White Suffolk ram had been part of the winning interbreed lamb production class at Hamilton Sheepvention in Vic this year. It weighed 114 kilograms and had a 48-millimetre eye muscle depth and fat score of 6.
It was bought by Quality Livestock Minlaton area manager Anthony Bray on behalf of return Ramsay Park client Lindsay Liebelt, Woodlands, Minlaton.
Volume buyer was Peter Anderson, Holland Park, Stansbury, taking nine rams to $1050.
Mr Anderson has been buying from Ramsay Park since the stud's inception.
"I'm very happy with the results I'm getting from Ramsay Park rams," he said.
