A storm that delivered 58mm of rain on Friday night turned the Nindigully campdraft arena into a lake.

The water had seeped away by Saturday morning but the high percentage of nomination scratchings forced the Nindigully Campdraft Committee to cancel their weekend program.
However, 100 of the hardest horsemen who were already on the grounds were still willing to ride so a Novice Sweepstakes Draft was quickly organised with Jason Birney from St George winning on Coolum Index.
The gathering dispersed slowly with a local tractor kept busy all Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning pulling the bogged horse trucks back onto the road.
