A MACADAMIA farm capable of producing more than 200 tonnes of nuts is being offered on a walk in, walk out basis by expressions of interest closing on February 24.
The farm, which is being sold by group of retired Queensland doctors, lies on a rich red volcanic plateau in the Koonorigan district, 20km north of Lismore.
The commercial sized 80 hectare (200 acres) farm has some 10,000 mature trees including H2, 741 and 246 varieties.
Last year the farm produced more than 200t producing over a $1 million in gross income. The 12 year average is more than 171t a year.
Improvements include a three bedroom home, a two bedroom home, machinery sheds, processing shed and dehusking plant.
The farm is being offered with machinery and equipment plus this year’s still to be harvested crop.
