Coronavirus gave the national online selling platform, AuctionsPlus, a major headache during last Friday's cattle sales.
AuctionsPlus CEO, Angus Street, released a video apologising to sellers and buyers for the frustrating day and promised he would do everything possible to avoid a repeat.
AuctionsPlus has been dealing with record livestock numbers in recent times with 122,245 sheep and 28,914 head offered last week.
Mr Street said the company's national service provider was forced to redirect more bandwidth resources to healthcare and government infrastructure as they battle to deal with the coronavirus emergency.
The company's national connection network, Wifi, NBN and mobile services were already being heavily impacted by the number of businesses going online and by the number of people working from home due to coronavirus.
While AuctionsPlus supported 100 per cent the national provider's decision to prioritise healthcare and government services, the company wasn't to know the severity and the impact of the heavily downgraded service.
"We are doing everything possible to keep sales going," he said.
The plan is to spread the load to avoid major congestion during Friday's cattle sales.
There will be a cattle sale on Wednesday and smaller commercial sales on Tuesday and Friday until the issue has been resolved, he said.
"We expect the sale changes to spread the load for the currently reduced bandwidth that our national provider is providing," Mr Street said.
