A wire fence assembly with the proven strength and stability of traditional timber and steel fence strainer assemblies, Fencestay is Australian-made and simple to use.
Fencestay requires no special equipment to install and there is no welding needed.
It was the simplicity of use and the ability to easily shift fencing that drew Steven Peri to Fencestay.
Mr Peri share farms 1538 hectares (3800 acres) near Sunbury, Victoria, running 689 Black Angus breeders as part of his Vic Farm Service operation.
"I was one of the first people to use Fencestay - I was using it before Steve even had a name for it," Mr Peri said.
"I was a bit apprehensive at first as I do all my own fencing and the way it is set up is a reverse of a normal assembly.
"But it works by pushing all the leverage to the ground through the assembly rather than counteracting pull.
"I use it for laneways and stock movement and have for about two years now with no problems."
A big focus of Mr Peri's operation is rotational grazing and Fencestay helps him create paddocks within paddocks.
"The land is already fenced into 32ha (80ac) paddocks," he said.
"As part of my rotational grazing program, I interior fence these paddocks into 12ha (30ac) smaller paddocks, making each paddock like a little farm.
"It gives me greater control of pasture management.
"The fencing used to be a very time consuming job, but with Fencestay it is so much quicker and simpler.
"And when you are done with it, you just pull it out and off you go.
"You don't have to be using fencing wire, anything goes onto it.
"I haven't had the assemblies lift out.
"One paddock had 300 breeders on it and I never had to pick the fencing up at all."
Fencestay has not only made controlling grazing easier for Mr Peri, but has also made storing silage more efficient.
"All the hay sheds are full and I needed somewhere secure to store silage," he said.
"I have tube-lined wrapped silage running along the property and Fencestay has allowed me to run fencing around it to secure it.
"The first fence I used a Fencestay assembly on was a 390 metre direct strain!
"This is not common. That fence is still up now protecting one of my wrapped lines of silage.
"All that is on them are the two assemblies, posts every 10m and carrying seven lines of wire.
"Another use I had for it was dividing a 40ha (100ac) section off for an oat crop from a 121ha (300ac) grazing paddock.
"I want the cattle to graze around the oat crop and without Fencestay I would have had to lock up the whole 121ha paddock.
"I've had no reason to fault it."
