A Dairy Australia event to highlight Healthy Bones Action week reached an estimated 1.3 million people online.
The event - a one-of-a-kind rooftop ballet barre class in Melbourne - was attended by 23 online influencers.
Healthy Bones Action Week, which this year ran from Monday, August 19, to Sunday, August 25, is an initiative launched by Dairy Australia to create greater awareness for the importance of building and maintaining strong and healthy bones for both adults and children alike to prevent issues in later life.
In Australia, osteoporosis affects close to 1.2 million people, a number that is expected to increase as our population grows older.
Women are four times more likely to have osteoporosis than men, with it affecting more than one in five women over the age of 65 years, compared to around one in 20 men.

Dairy Australia created the Milk Barre event, a one-of-a-kind rooftop ballet barre class in Melbourne, to target social influencers.
It was designed to highlight the three key steps to maintaining strong and healthy bones: a daily source of calcium, vitamin D from safe sun exposure and regular weight-bearing exercise.
Former professional ballerina, Abby Smyth of Love Athletica, hosted exclusive ballet barre sessions with the support of a leading nutritionist who was on hand to discuss the important role dairy foods play in maintaining strong bones.
The day of the event saw 75 Instagram stories and six social media posts, reaching an estimated 1.3 million people online.
Dairy Australia said the event was complemented with mainstream media outreach and a national primary school program to encourage all Australians to think about their bone health and to ensure their daily routine includes the three key steps to maintaining good bone health.
