THE home of the Dennis family's hugely popular 4Real milk brand is on the market.

Located in the Tamrookum district south of Beaudesert, the 149 hectare (369 acre) farm featuring some of South East Queensland's best farmland and also has an on-farm milk factory.

The stand-out dairy is equipped with four Lely Astronaut A3 robotic units, with capacity to milk 280 cows.

The 230-250 cows being milked throughout the year are producing an average of 20-22L/day with an average production of 6000L/day at 4.01 per cent butter fat and 3.2pc protein.

The Dennis family took up the country in the 1930s. The current custodians are brothers Darrell and Ray Dennis, with Greg 'Farmer Gregie' Dennis the public face of 4Real Milk.

The farm is also set up for tourism, attracting some 4000 paying visitors a year.

The highly productive and virtually drought proof farm has 121ha of irrigated country. There are extremely reliable water sources including a 350ML allocation from the Logan River, a 58ML water harvesting licence, six bores, and about 10km of underground mains supplying 36 hydrants, which service four travelling irrigators.

The on-farm milk factory is currently processing 40,000 litres/week, but is capable of processing capacity up to 70,000L/week. Products include full cream, pasteurised (non-homogenised) milk, flavoured milks, cheeses and yoghurts.

The 4Real range of products are delivered to about 300 retailers.

Other infrastructure includes a 100x20m loafing barn to accommodate 300 cows, 70x7m concrete feed out shed with a central feed trough, six bay machinery shed, hay sheds, undercover cattle treatment area, grain silos, fertiliser bin and calf shed and rearing facilities.

There are also four residences.

The farm is being offered with a 418 Holsteins and the plant and equipment for the farm and milk business.
