The upgrades include the in-cabin control, an articulated drawbar, electro-hydraulic steering, a loading bay cover and improved lighting package.
Claas product manager, Luke Wheeler said the Cargos 700 models could be operated using the tablet based Easy app or any ISOBUS terminal.
“Key functions, such as the hydraulic articulated drawbar, can be assigned to the tractor function keys for easy operation,” he said.
“The drawbar automatically moves into one of four settings at the push of a button to provide optimum alignment of the wagon during transport, chopping, unloading and field operations.”
He said electro-hydraulic steering made driving easier.
“A steering angle sensor on the drawbar measures the steering angle and automatically adjusts the axles to provide the best balance between manoeuvrability and stability in every situation,” he said.
“The driver can adjust the steering sensitivity using the settings menu or opt to control some functions manually.
“This includes the crab steering function, which can be used to minimise ground damage in wet conditions or to enable the wagon to drive right up to the edge of the silage bunker when unloading.”
The hydraulic controlled loading bay cover added to on-road safety with two sections folding out over the wagon from left and right to secure the load.
LED lighting has been added and can be pre-set for road transport, or unloading activities at the push of a button.
The Cargos 760, 750 and 740 models have loading volumes of 48.5, 42.5 and 36.5 cubic metres, respectively and extension sets can boost capacity by another 2.5m3.
All models can be specified with a wide choice of tyres, axle configurations and either mechanical or hydraulic suspension.
“The tyre selection is more extensive than before, with a range of profiles and tyre sizes from 22.5 to 30.5 inches available,” Mr Wheeler said.
“Likewise, models can be specified with four different tandem or tridem axle configurations to suit a range of maximum loads from 18 to 30 tonnes.”
Other options include a self-steering system and two proportioning rollers.
