Reflecting the high-tech side of modern agriculture, and the new working environment of today’s farmer, Agritechnica’s theme in 2017 is “Green Future – Smart Technology”.
The theme will shape many of the features at the fair, which is set for Hanover, Germany, from 12 to 18 November 2017.
The theme was chosen to underline the importance of the worldwide movement towards sustainable production methods, according to Agritechnica project manager, Marie Servais.
“It further gives the exhibitors the opportunity to place their innovations, under the headline of the new main theme, on the world’s largest platform for agricultural machinery”
The Systems & Components area of the fair will have a focus on how the interaction of different technologies can bring new and smart mobile farming applications to agriculture - referred to as “connectivity” by Agritechnica.
Under the Agritechnica umbrella, the Systems & Components area, which includes drive systems, engines, hydraulics, cabins, electronics and parts, proved to be a strong innovator and solution provider at the fair, with about 100,000 trade visitors.
The 2017 focus on the interaction of components in mobile applications - the connectivity - is a prerequisite not just in the component side of the industry but also people and companies, Agritechnica says.
The international fair attracts more than 450,000 visitors from 115 countries.
It is expected about 2900 companies will present products and services in 2017 as well as an impressive accompanying technical program.
