Almost 45 years on and the technology is still at the heart of the company;s line-up of combine harvesters, albeit with a significantly larger engine and capacity, boasting a whopping 507kW (680hp) of peak power in top model, the CR10.90.

New Holland product segment manager for broadacre Marc Smith said the 2019 CR Combine Revelation range was set for further development this year.

"With more crops supported and more on the way, the CR Revelation Combine is continuing to set industry benchmarks adding, innovation and evolution are trademarks of these combine harvesters," he said.

"Maximising throughput, minimising losses and damaged grain are some of the key aspects the pro- active automation system delivers".

Mr Smith said 2020 model year harvesters would see a few updates, including a darker cab interior aimed at reducing driver fatigue during night operation with reduced glare, the addition of two USB ports and a modern cab climate control panel for more operator comfort.

Performance will also be tweaked, he said, with a 10 per cent increase in flow capacity applied to the clean grain elevator.
